When you decide to have your website designed by Salient Web Design, we begin by having a short meeting with you to identify and discuss your requirements.
We gather information about your company identity (preferred colours, logos, etc) and also determine what sort of content you will want published. You may also provide digital or hard copies of logos, photos, etc that you want included on the site.
This will help us to determine which features and designs might be best for you (although ultimately it's up to you!). At this point you are under no obligation to continue with us if you are not satisfied.
We will then go away and write up a quote based on the specifications you have provided to us. If you are happy with the price we quote, we then draw up a simple, 'plain English' contract which details what we will do and what is included in the price.
We'll also need to obtain your permission to register a domain name (e.g. www.yourcompany.com.au) by using your ABN number to verify your right to use that name. We will assist you to select a domain name if you are unsure about what to use.
From the information we've gathered, we then commence building a prototype of your website. This usually takes around 1 week, after which we visit you again and demonstrate the prototype. This is really just to be sure that you are happy with the 'look and feel' and won't necessarily reflect the finished product and content. We will also provide you with a temporary link to the prototype site so you can view it at your convenience.
Once you are happy with the prototype we go back and finish the design and add your content.
One more review session and then we "hit the button" to publish the site to the World Wide Web!
A commencement payment of 1/3 (one third) of the total quoted cost is payable before we commence working on the prototype. A further 1/3 is payable upon your approval of the design templates (without content). The balance is payable once the site has been completed and is ready for publishing.
Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the above.
